about us

Helping You To Keep Moving, Stay Active And Healthy

Keeping healthy and active is essential to us all and being able to do this in comfort is paramount. Pain or discomfort can be hindering and this quickly turns into frustration. As active people ourselves we understand how exasperating pain can be if it stops you exercising, both physically and mentally. Stop being stumped by this vicious cycle. We are here to help get you back on your feet and moving towards your goals.
Following a thorough initial assessment we will listen and acknowledge your presenting problem. We will establish a treatment plan and explain avenues of care before we gain your approval of the chosen treatment choices. Treatment will commence at initial appointments to solve your pain.

our team

Alison Pettican – Director

BSc (Hons) MRCPod and HCPC registered (CH12823)

I’m a keen walker, out early every morning rain or shine walking my spaniel, Walter. Daily walks, weight training and the gym keep me active and fit alongside family life with two busy teenage children. Always on the go I’m aware of demands that family life can present to us all.

Graduating as a podiatrist in 1995 from Edinburgh Queen Margaret University much of my work has been within the NHS sector and time spent overseas working in private and government centres. My work has covered many aspects of foot health over these years, in particular Diabetes. Diabetic foot health retains my compassion as it is imperative to educate and avoid complications rather than live with the results.

I continue to study and I’m proud to hold certificates as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, a Running Technique Coach and also embarking on my masters degree in podiatric sports medicine.

TIM VEYSEY-SMITH – sports Podiatrist

MSc MRCPod and HCPC registered

I have a lifelong passion for running and exploring the great outdoors, no matter what the weather, and have an odd compulsion for steep hills, whether running, hiking or skiing down them! I compete in a number of trail running events throughout the year, usually based on how scenic they are rather than the distance! In 2021 I was lucky enough to get a ballot place for the London Marathon and as you can see from the photo I enjoyed every minute of it! (Well maybe not every minute)

As a runner and outdoor fitness enthusiast I understand how frustrating injury can be. I can help you recover from your injury and get back to your favourite exercise, whether that is running, hiking or just walking to the shops.

I have been involved in professional health care most of my working life, having spent 10 years as an Ambulance Paramedic before switching careers to train as a Podiatrist in 1995. In 2009 I completed a Masters degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Kent and have a special interest in running related injuries.

Although I have a special interest in the treatment of running injuries, I enjoy the full scope of Podiatry and am happy to offer treatment and advice to all ages on any aspect of foot and lower limb health, from routine foot care to minor foot surgery. No treatment is too trivial and you will always get a warm welcome in my clinic whatever your needs.

vicky Webster-Clamp – foot health practitioner

MCFHP and Diploma in Higher Education with QMU & SMAE

Vicky is an outstanding foot health professional who has gained her podiatry assistant qualifications.

She has been working in foot health for over 15 years and therefore very capable of offering foot health treatments.

Vicky is also a personal trainer specialising in mental health and exercise coaching.

Sharon Turner – Receptionist

I joined Fit Feet podiatry in 2023 after retiring from the NHS where I worked intensely in an administrative role. During this time I gained a wealth of experience in communication, organisational skills, and time management! Being part of a team is important to me and therefore having this opportunity to work part time and remaining in the health sector was the perfect combination.

In my spare time I love being with my family and socialising with friends.

We are passionate about every person being able to keep active, fit and ultimately healthy. Fit Feet – Active Life

This was my first visit to Fit Feet Podiatry and I was very fortunate to meet Vicky who sorted out the issue I had.

I have been to other podiatrists and have to say that this is the best.

Great treatment and clear explanations from a first class practitioner.  Very friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you
